EPPING TO CHATSWOOD RAIL LINK

Architects: Hassell Architects
Builders: Joint venture with Thiess and Hochtief
Project Completed: 2009

The Epping to Chatswood rail link is a railway line in the northern suburbs of Sydney, which connects Epping on the Northern line to Chatswood on the North Shore line. Construction commenced in November 2002. HASSELL designed the new, world-class stations; a A$2.35 billion expansion. The generous spaces, intuitive way finding and clarity within the concourses and platforms make the station a standout for underground rail. Unibond was selected to fabricate the curved ceilings in the North Ryde & Macquarie Park stations.
